A man fended off a bear that had attacked his dog

The next day, rangers found the injured bear. The animal had to be put down. The animal’s carcass was sent to the city of Sacramento for testing to determine if it was not infected with rabies.

It had previously been reported that the bear had attacked a man in India who was doing his morning ablutions and later attacked two other people. A group of locals armed with sticks and other improvised objects then discovered the animal in an open area and slaughtered it.
